Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 May 2026
Keep Rolling (“the App”) is published by The Feel Good Project Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App handles and why.
Summary
- The camera and microphone run locally on your device.
- When you choose to use cloud editing, the audio track of a single take is sent to Google’s Gemini API to detect which segments you wanted to keep. The video is never uploaded.
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment details.
- We do not run analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers inside the App.
Data the App handles
Camera and microphone
Recording happens entirely on your device. Raw footage is stored in the App’s private container while you are recording and is deleted as soon as the final cut is exported.
On-device speech recognition
Voice commands such as “cut that” and “start again” are processed locally using Apple’s SFSpeechRecognizer framework. Apple may process some speech audio under its own privacy policy; we never receive a transcript or recording.
Cloud editing (Gemini)
If you enable cloud editing for a take, the App extracts the audio track and sends it to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash API for the sole purpose of identifying which segments to keep. The model returns a list of time ranges; the App then performs the actual video edit locally. Google’s handling of that audio is governed by their Gemini API Terms and Privacy Policy. You can record and edit fully offline by disabling cloud editing in Settings.
Photos library
Finished recordings are saved to your iOS Photos library at your request. The App only reads from or writes to Photos when you explicitly export a take.
Subscriptions and payment
Paid features are delivered through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and managed by RevenueCat, which assigns a pseudonymous user identifier so we can confirm your entitlement on this device. We do not receive your name, email, billing address, or card information.
Diagnostics
If you opt into sharing diagnostics with Apple, anonymous crash reports may be delivered to us through Xcode Organizer. We do not otherwise collect crash logs or usage telemetry.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent any personal information.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not run third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not access your contacts, location, or calendar.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR including the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). Because the App stores almost everything locally, the simplest way to delete data is to delete the App from your device.
Children
Keep Rolling is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the App changes in ways that affect privacy. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
